Danni Moran
BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy
Danni graduated from GCU in 2013 with a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy. She has enjoyed experience in the NHS, the private sector and also in competitive sport.
After graduating from Uni, Danni’s first role was for Celtic FC Boys Youth Academy. Providing match cover, evening injury clinics and overseas medical support. She also worked in a static Band 5 MSK role in the NHS learning the fundamentals of working in an MSK department learning skills in triage, class taking, diagnostics and treatment.
Danni then took on a rotational NHS Physiotherapy post gaining experience in Orthopaedic In-patients, Medical in-patients and on-call respiratory physiotherapy. This allowed Danni a more broader overview of the NHS, team working and rehabilitation of many medical conditions.
After this Danni began working in private practice MSK and this is where Danni really enjoyed becoming a “hands-on” physio. She completed a number of postgraduate courses and exams to enhance her skillset. She also worked part time in NHS Community Rehab seeing patients at their homes after spending time in hospital and working with OTs and District Nurses.
Danni progressed then into a senior NHS role as a band 6 MSK Physio. She learnt skills in student mentoring, leading junior physios and support workers and day to day management of an MSK department. Shortly before Covid, Danni saw an opportunity to gain experience in Rheumatology as a senior physio in Lanarkshire. Here she led axial spondyloarthritis clinics, hydrotherapy sessions, a rheumatology physio caseload and helped rehabilitate complex rheumatology in patients.
She then progressed into a Band 7 Rheumatology Physiotherapist role in Ayrshire & Arran where she developed skills in Injection Therapy and X-ray requesting (IRMER).
She loves her time working 2 days a week now at LA Physiotherapy offering hands on treatment, acupuncture, massage and pilates.
